How to Order a Fan Support Ad — Step by Step
This page covers the ordering process itself — what happens after you pick a placement, and what you need to have ready. If you are still deciding whether to run an ad at all, start with our guide to running a birthday ad in Japan.

Before you order: two requirements
1. Permission. Every fan support ad needs permission from the person featured or from their agency. When you order you will be asked to submit evidence of it, such as a screenshot of the approval email or DM. Secure this first — it is the step that most often delays a campaign.
2. Who can book which format. Outdoor vision and digital signage can be booked by an individual. Station posters and other transit media cannot be displayed under one person's name; those need an application from a group of two or more, plus a short group profile document. Ads featuring anyone under 18 cannot be accepted.
The five steps
- Choose your date and area. Decide the display date and the city or station. Birthdays for popular idols are claimed early, so fix the date first and work backwards.
- Choose a placement and order it. Each listing shows the location, size, display period and price. Order one placement per order — if you want several, place them separately.
- We confirm availability. After your order we check the slot with the media owner and confirm the display conditions.
- Prepare artwork and submit it for review. Artwork is produced to the medium's technical specification, then goes through the media owner's design review. You may be asked to make changes. We can help produce the files — ask us.
- Your ad goes live. It is displayed for the confirmed period at the confirmed location. Fans commonly visit and photograph it, within the media owner's rules for that site.
How far ahead to order
Apply at least 3–4 months before the display date for station posters, and at least 2 months before for digital signage and outdoor vision. If you already have permission and finished artwork, digital signage can occasionally go live in about 2 days — contact us before ordering if you are working to a tight deadline.
Once a slot has been secured with the media owner, the location and display period cannot be changed, and the order cannot be cancelled. Please confirm your dates carefully before ordering.
Artwork and rights
Photos, logos and illustrations must follow the guidelines set by the agency, the rights holder and the media owner. You cannot use official material freely — confirm what is permitted as part of getting your permission.
Payment
Prices are shown in Japanese yen. Pay by credit card or another method offered at checkout. Nothing is shipped to you — you are buying advertising space. Note that some station poster listings carry a separate printing cost, which is stated on the listing.
