FAQ — Booking a Fan Support or Birthday Ad in Japan

Everything international fans ask before booking a fan support ad (senil ad / 応援広告) in Japan. If your question is not answered here, contact us or read the step-by-step ordering guide.

Ordering from outside Japan

Can I book an ad in Japan if I live overseas?

Yes. You do not need to live in Japan, hold a Japanese address, or speak Japanese. Ordering, creative review and installation are all handled remotely, and we can correspond with you in English.

What currency will I be charged in?

Prices are set in Japanese yen (JPY). Your card issuer converts to your local currency at their own rate, so the final amount on your statement may differ slightly from the yen price shown at checkout.

What payment methods can I use?

Credit card and the other methods shown on the checkout page. Available payment methods are being expanded over time.

Is anything shipped to me?

No. You are buying advertising space, not a physical product. Nothing is posted to your address.

Permission and eligibility

Do I need permission to run a fan support ad?

Yes — always. Every fan support ad requires permission from the person featured or from their agency. When you order, you will be asked to submit evidence that permission was granted, such as a screenshot of the approval email or DM. This applies to Korean, Japanese and other agencies alike. Please secure permission before you book a placement.

Can an individual book an ad, or do I need to be a group?

It depends on the media type. Outdoor vision and digital signage can be booked by an individual. Station posters and other transit media cannot be displayed under one person's name — those require an application from a group of two or more people, together with a short group profile document.

Can I run an ad for someone who is under 18?

No. We are unable to accept ads featuring minors.

Timing and lead times

How far in advance should I book?

As a guide, apply at least 3–4 months before the display date for station posters, and at least 2 months before for digital signage and outdoor vision. Birthday dates for popular idols are claimed early, so the further ahead you plan, the more locations you can choose from.

What is the fastest an ad can go live?

If you already have agency permission and a finished design, digital signage can sometimes go live in as little as 2 days. Contact us before ordering if you are working to a tight deadline, so we can confirm what is actually available.

Can I change the location or the display period after ordering?

No. Once the slot has been secured with the media owner, the location and display period are fixed. Please confirm your dates and location carefully before you order.

Design and review

Does my design have to be approved?

Yes. Every placement goes through a design review by the media owner. The review is carried out on the finished artwork, and you may be asked to make changes before it is accepted.

Can you create the design for me?

Yes, this can be arranged. Contact us about artwork production and about preparing files to each medium's technical specification.

Can I use official photos and logos?

Not freely. Photos, logos and illustrations must follow the guidelines of the agency, the rights holder and the media owner, and you need the appropriate permission for each.

After the ad goes live

Will I get photos of my ad if I cannot travel to Japan?

Whether photo documentation is available depends on the placement and the media owner. If you need proof photos, please tell us before you order so we can confirm what that specific location allows.

Can I post photos of the ad on social media?

Usually yes, as long as you follow the media owner's rules for photography at that location. Fans commonly visit the site, photograph the ad and share it.

Cancellations

Can I cancel my order?

Because advertising slots are reserved exclusively for your dates, orders cannot be cancelled once the slot has been secured. Please read the placement details carefully before ordering.

Why book through us

How is this different from contacting a media owner directly?

Japanese media owners generally do not sell to individuals, publish prices in English, or accept overseas applications directly. We handle availability checks, permission verification, design review, file submission and installation as a single flow, so a first-time fan overseas can get an ad displayed without an agency.

Where can I see what is available?

Browse Japan billboard ads or Korea billboard ads. Each listing shows the location, display period and price.
